Trump Reports $1.4 Billion in Cryptocurrency Income in Government Filing

US President Donald Trump’s Financial Disclosure Reveals Significant Crypto Holdings

A new report from the US Office of Government Ethics has been released, providing a detailed look at President Trump’s financial situation for 2025. The document, which spans 927 pages, outlines Trump’s reported assets and income, including over $1.4 billion from his family’s cryptocurrency ventures.

According to the report, Trump received more than $500 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture he co-founded with his sons. He also reported another $635 million from the sale of his TRUMP meme coins. These figures suggest that investments in digital assets now generate one of the largest tranches of Trump’s income, surpassing even his real estate empire.

Trump has been actively promoting cryptocurrency-friendly policies since returning to the White House for a second term. In January 2025, he announced plans to create a national strategic cryptocurrency reserve and hosted the first-ever White House cryptocurrency summit. The event included several technology leaders who had previously faced investigation during the administration of his predecessor, Joe Biden.

The report also highlights Trump’s efforts to champion new legislation, including the GENIUS Act, which created a general regulatory framework for stablecoins. Advocates argue that this law will help make cryptocurrency more mainstream. However, critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest and corruption, particularly given the close ties between Trump and the cryptocurrency industry.

Five Democratic senators have called on their Republican colleagues to force Trump administration officials to testify under oath about their cryptocurrency dealings, citing investments from the United Arab Emirates in World Liberty Financial. The senators are urging immediate hearings on the matter.
