Sweden defeats Tunisia 5-1 at the World Cup

Sweden Secures Top Spot in Group F with Dominant Win Over Tunisia

In a decisive match at Guadalupe Stadium, Sweden defeated Tunisia 5-1 to take control of World Cup Group F. The victory marked a significant milestone for Graham Potter’s team, who now sit atop the group standings.

The match got off to a strong start for Sweden, with midfielder Yasin Ayari scoring in the seventh minute after a defensive mix-up at the back. Tunisia equalized just before halftime, courtesy of Omar Rekik’s header from Hannibal Mejbri’s cross.

However, Sweden regained their lead in the 59th minute following another defensive lapse by Tunisia. Midfielder Ellyes Skhiri lost possession to Alexander Isak, who fed Viktor Gyokeres for the goal. Substitute Mattias Svanberg sealed the win with a late strike, and Ayari added a fifth goal from outside the penalty box.

Sweden’s victory marked their first win in Group F, while Tunisia suffered their second consecutive defeat. The match saw Sweden threaten to overwhelm Tunisia, but the North African nation’s defensive woes continued.
