Israeli forces kill Palestinian teenager during West Bank raid operation

A Palestinian teenager has died from his injuries after being shot by Israeli forces during a raid in Nablus, according to reports from the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The incident occurred when six Israeli army vehicles arrived in the city’s Rafidia district and spoke with shop owners before shooting the 15-year-old boy as he was exiting the area.

The Israeli military has stated that a Palestinian hurled stones towards its forces during an “operational activity” in the area, prompting them to initiate standard suspect apprehension procedures. According to the military, fire was directed at the suspect, resulting in his death.

Medical sources have confirmed that the teenager suffered critical injuries from live ammunition in the shoulder and was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he died. The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported on several incidents of violence against Palestinians in recent weeks, including the killing of a 25-year-old man by Israeli settlers in Deir Dibwan town near Ramallah.

According to the ministry, at least 16 people have been killed in Israeli settler attacks this year, with victims ranging from a 13-year-old child to a 60-year-old individual. The incident in Nablus marks the latest in a series of violent incidents in the occupied Palestinian territory since Israel’s military operations began in October 2023.
