Iran Reports High Casualties from Israeli Attack on Girls’ School
At least 51 people have been killed in an Israeli strike on a girls’ school in Minab, a city in Iran’s Hormozgan province, according to state media reports. The attack also injured multiple students and damaged public infrastructure.
Separately, two students were reported killed by an Israeli attack that targeted a school east of Tehran. Iranian authorities have confirmed the number of casualties from this incident has exceeded 40.
The incident highlights the ongoing impact of the US-Israeli military campaign in Iran, which began in June 2025. The Ministry of Health and Medical Education has stated that thousands of civilians were killed or injured during the conflict, as well as significant damage to public infrastructure.
President Trump had previously promised aid to the Iranian people, but the recent civilian casualties have been condemned by the Iranian government as a violation of international law and an attack on its citizens.
