Israeli Forces Reportedly Kill Multiple Palestinians
Four Palestinian men and an eight-year-old boy were reportedly killed by Israeli forces in separate incidents on Monday. In Gaza, an Israeli drone attack targeted a bridge in central Gaza, killing Malik Wael Abu Shaweesh, Ali Fayez Isbaitan, and Hassan Salman al-Hanajra. Two people were also killed in a beachside airstrike in Khan Younis, with 27 others injured.
In the West Bank, a 15-year-old boy was shot during an Israeli raid on the Umm al-Sharayit neighbourhood, resulting in his death en route to hospital. The Palestinian health ministry confirmed the incident.
Israeli rights group B’Tselem has released a report stating that at least 241 Palestinian children and teenagers have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7, 2023. According to the report, some of these individuals’ bodies were not returned to their families. The report also states that Israeli authorities have enabled the killing of Palestinians with “virtually no accountability”.
Since October 7, at least 1,085 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers, according to figures from the Gaza health ministry. In Gaza, over 73,000 Palestinians have been killed during the same period.
The incidents are part of a broader pattern of violence in the region.
