Honda Abandons Plans for Zero Series Electric Vehicles
Honda has pulled the plug on its zero-emissions SUV and sedan lineup, known as the Zero Series, due to a “very challenging” financial situation. The company is expecting to post a significant loss, with net losses ranging from ¥360 billion to ¥630 billion in the upcoming fiscal year. This would be Honda’s first ever annual recorded loss since becoming a public company 50 years ago. The move comes as the automaker navigates increasing global competition and trade tensions, including the ongoing impact of US President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
