Boston Dynamics Unveils Production-Ready Humanoid Robot for Hyundai's Car Plants
Boston Dynamics unveiled its latest humanoid robot, Atlas, at CES in Las Vegas, touting its advanced capabilities and plans to integrate it into Hyundai’s manufacturing process. Designed with a fully electric, battery-powered body and 360-degree rotating joints, the robot is poised to work alongside human factory workers at Hyundai’s car plants starting in 2028. The company aims to mass-produce Atlas as a “production-ready humanoid robot” at its car plant in Savannah, Georgia, with an estimated annual production of 30,000 units.
