Boston Dynamics Unveils Humanoid Robot for Hyundai Production
Hyundai and Boston Dynamics have announced a partnership to integrate humanoid robots into their manufacturing processes, with production-ready Atlas robots set to start building cars in 2028. The companies unveiled the latest version of the Atlas robot at CES in Las Vegas, featuring advanced artificial intelligence and fully electric power. Atlas will work alongside human factory workers at Hyundai’s car plants, including the Metaplant in Savannah, Georgia, where it is expected to produce up to 30,000 robots annually. Hyundai plans to utilize the robots’ capabilities to enhance efficiency and productivity in their manufacturing operations, marking a significant step towards the integration of automation technology in the automotive industry.
