Apple Introduces Budget-Friendly MacBook Neo
The MacBook Neo is Apple’s latest, most affordable laptop offering a balance of design and performance at an entry-level price point. At first glance, the Neo appears to be similar to other Apple laptops, with a sleek aluminum design, 13-inch display, and feature-rich amenities such as two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and side-firing speakers. While it lacks Thunderbolt ports and MagSafe, which are standard on the MacBook Air, its color-matched Magic Keyboard is a notable inclusion. In terms of performance, the Neo’s A18 Pro chip provides sufficient power for everyday use cases such as streaming, browsing, and general productivity, although it may struggle with more demanding tasks. The laptop’s 8GB of RAM also limits its capabilities compared to higher-end models. The MacBook Neo is now available in two configurations: a base model with 256GB of storage starting at $599, and a higher-end version with 512GB of storage priced at $699.
