US President Trumps Military Actions in 2025 Under Scrutiny Worldwide

US Conducts Strike on Venezuelan Docking Facility

The United States has confirmed that it carried out a strike on a docking facility in Venezuela, marking the country’s first military action on its land since September 2025. The strike occurred at a facility where US officials believe boats carrying drugs typically load up.

According to President Donald Trump, the explosion was significant and targeted an area used for implementing illicit activities. The US has been conducting military operations around the world since January 20, 2025, with a total of 622 overseas bombings reported by conflict monitor ACLED.

The strike follows previous actions taken by the US Navy, including the seizure of two oil tankers off the Venezuelan coast in December. Washington claims these vessels were part of a “shadow fleet” smuggling sanctioned oil.

The Trump administration has been escalating its efforts to combat drug trafficking from Venezuela to the US, with strikes on small boats in the Caribbean since September 2. The US alleges that these vessels are operated by Venezuelan “terrorist” organizations, but has provided no evidence for this claim.

Human Rights Watch has reported at least 95 people killed in boat strikes, accusing Washington of “extrajudicial killings.” The Pentagon has declined to release footage of the first strike on September 2, citing security concerns.
