Iran Issues Warning Over Continued Israeli Attacks in Lebanon
Iran has issued a warning to Israel, stating that it will respond “harshly” if continued attacks on Lebanon continue. The warning comes after Israeli strikes killed four people in southern Lebanon.
According to Iranian officials, the Lebanese truce linked to its agreement with the United States has been repeatedly violated by Israel. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the need for any final agreement with Washington to include sanctions relief, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon.
US President Donald Trump recently publicly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to be “more responsible” in his actions in Lebanon. The criticism comes as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate.
Iran has maintained that its agreement with the United States is contingent on these conditions being met. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing reports of Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely.
