Fury vs Makhmudov: Heavyweight Boxing Bout Details and Information Provided

Former Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury to Face Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tyson Fury, 37, has announced his comeback to professional boxing after a 15-month hiatus. He will face Dagestani boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov, 36, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night. The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds and is expected to start around 10:30pm GMT.

Fury, who has been out of retirement twice before, needs a victory to regain his career momentum. He has expressed interest in facing fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua in the future, but Makhmudov will not be an easy opponent. The Dagestani boxer has a reputation for being a devastating puncher, with 90% of his wins coming by knockout.

Makhmudov’s previous fights have seen him rack up impressive knockouts and wins over notable opponents such as Dave Allen and Carlos Takam. However, he also suffered a loss to Agit Kabayel in December 2023 due to a swollen eye. Fury has spoken about the challenge posed by Makhmudov, stating that he is looking forward to facing a “genuinely dangerous” opponent.

The main card of the event will be broadcast on Netflix and is scheduled to start at 7pm GMT. The co-main event between Conor Benn and Regis Prograis is set to begin around 9:30pm GMT.

Fury’s previous fights have seen him face notable opponents such as Oleksandr Usyk, Wladimir Klitschko, and Deontay Wilder. He has also recently survived a scare in a boxing match against mixed martial arts athlete Francis Ngannou, winning by split decision.

Makhmudov has expressed his admiration for Fury, describing him as a “legend” and stating that he believes he will win the fight. The event promises to be an exciting matchup between two skilled boxers.
